The American Civil Liberties Union of Colorado is suing the city of Vail over its dismissal of artist Danielle SeeWalker from an artist-in-residence program, following an April grievance about SeeWalker’s previous paintings.
The go well with, filed Monday in U.S. District Court docket, states that the city violated SeeWalker’s First Modification rights in canceling her residency over political causes prior to she’d even painted a unmarried brushstroke.
